The Position

The Technical Services and Development (TS&D) Manager is accountable for technical support and technical marketing to assist Haltermann SolutionsTM to engage customers and grow our market share.  TS&D will work closely with Fuels Development Team and Commercial Team, as well as contacts in the industry, to execute strategies and tactics to create distinctive value in the marketplace and grow Haltermann's business. TS&D personnel provide the critical link between customers and Haltermann's technical expertise from troubleshooting, to supporting processing of existing customer products, to defining new product applications and modifying existing products to meet new customer needs. TS&D will focus on the engagement, alignment and execution of the strategies by product and segment while leading overall technical issues related to application developments, as well as providing occasional regulatory supports to customers in the respective country.  The service by TS&D is to be aligned directly to the sales volume and will play an active role on the Commercial Team.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Responsible to work closely with customers to insure existing products are performing to specification and to position new products and technologies
  • Responsible to translate product attributes for marketing and sales team
  • Accountable to extract information from the customer and effectively network within the Haltermann/Monument organization to find solutions
  • Accountable to create and maintain relevant customer and industry networks
  • Must stay current with Haltermann's technology and industry/market trends and developments
  • Develop experiences and technical expertise to solve problems
  • Provide product and application expertise, and ongoing technical support to existing customers
  • Closely cooperate with R&D in the development and technical qualification of new products/applications
  • Lead the industrial introduction specific to requirements at targeted accounts.

The Person

  • BS or MS in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering or Chemistry.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a technical support and marketing.
  • Strong entrepreneurial skills and a natural ability to spot opportunities for revenue generation.
  • Demonstrated ability to use data to provide valuable business insight.
  • Strong understanding of the development process.
  • Highly analytical, logical, and good problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, follow-through, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to interact professionally with all levels of staff.
  • Relevant industry experience and in-depth knowledge of the market preferred.
  • Ability to travel
  • Organization, self- starter, computer skills, ability to multi-task, ability to work remotely, proven track record of closing opportunities.
